Hello, I am Chris Hall, Harvest Moon Bread and Frozen Buyer & Stocker…and a photographer. I love doing photography, investigating a location, and looking for a perspective not seen before or a perspective that makes an extra special image. All the photos in this show are winter shots. Winter, for me, is an interesting time to take photos. Since there is little color, the photos are simpler. The white snow allows me to isolate a subject against a white background. Most of these photos have been in the juried art show at the Minnesota Arboretum, and several received Best in Show. Several of the photos have been on the front page of the Chaska Herald. The best award was the “Cardinals in Snowstorm” being in the juried Fine Art Show at the Minnesota State Fair. I call my images photo art rather than art photos because I do photo processing in Photoshop and other imaging software.
The Westside Art Guild
We are a group of 14 artists residing in the west metro who formed the Westside Art Guild in November 2015. Our members are all accomplished in their respective artistic pursuits and hold widely diverse backgrounds and professional careers. Members of the Westside Art Guild meet monthly, exchange ideas, encourage, share and develop together.
Our mission is
to facilitate dialogue and idea exchange among our members;
to provide greater opportunities for artists to share and sell their work;
to create long-lasting connections between the artists and the community.
How to join the Westside Art guild

David and Jerri Vogel
David and Jerri currently live with their four children in Spring Park, MN. David works part time in Harvest Moon’s grocery department. All the family nurture their own artistic skills, which often lead to a synergistic interplay of ideas.
David: I’m a visual working with various media (currently under color) to convey the values and human condition of people, of nature, and scenes of our world. Sometimes this includes Hebraic or Jewish culture and symbolism. I graduated sometime ago from the Minneapolis College of Art and design majoring in illustration and graphic design.
Jerri: I am a sewist, a craft maker, and home-schooling mother. I enjoy gardening in nature. I love nature and try to capture its beauty in my photographs. Fall 2018.
Show your support of local artists by sharing!
I am a local artist from Medina, and work next door at Otten Bros. Family, flowers, and painting fill my days. My husband Jared and I have 12 children, including Kate, who is a familiar face at the front end here at Harvest Moon.
“How do you have time to paint?” is the most frequent question I hear. After college, where I fit in every art class I could, I didn’t pick up a paintbrush until a paint party with my sisters several years ago. I quickly realized that time for painting was going to have to fit into my life somehow.
For me, the time spent painting is energizing and enjoyable. My favorite subject matters are flowers, food, birds (especially chickens!), and anything that inspires the process of playing with color, contrast and form. I usually create with acrylics, mixed media, and watercolor.
Cards and Prints also available.

Paul W. Morse
Look for art at the co-op this May from local Artist and Harvest Moon employee Paul W. Morse! Paul creates artworks in many mediums ranging from paintings to sculpture (ceramic and mixed media), to ink illustrations, graphite drawings and more. His process is firmly rooted in research and writing – allowing ideas to organically guide him to a fitting medium. Morse’s work explores concepts of identity, empathy, and entropy. Both Paul and Justin’s work can be found on Instagram @paulwmorse_creations.
